YOGA FOR EVERYDAY LIFE

The misconception of what yoga is: I'm not flexible, I'm familiar with the practice, I can't sit still. The interesting thing is how often the mind dwells on what we feel we are not, and why that is always our first response. How did we loose our understanding that we are from what we are not. I'm suggesting yoga is a path way to reconnect thorough the physical, solely because its the more tangible of the bodies and unfortunately where have been trained to be. Yoga is the way we can reconnect back to our Greatness Potential to focus more on what I can be from the ideas what I'm not. Namaste!

TAPPING INTO EMPOWERMENT

In this guided Primal Yoga® Flow practice, we combine fluid movement and breath to cultivate the flow of Qi and pranic energy throughout the body. We seamlessly blend yoga with slow flowing movements inspired by Tai Chi, Qigong and Kung Fu into a harmonious dance to create balance, strength and synergy in our physical and emotional bodies. We flow through creative, empowering and expansive poses that reveal our inner strength and tap into our body's innate wisdom to unlock the healing potential within.

MAY THE HATHA BE WITH YOU

If the body is the Vehicle, the breath is the "Gas in the Car-" it is what moves us forward, what fuels us. No matter how fancy a car (or yoga pose) may look to others, to have a smooth ride we need steady and strong breath. While many yoga practices say that the breath is important, most classes focus on the physical aspects of yoga, placing the breath in second place.

COURAGE

The original meaning of the word courage is to feel strong enough within to speak from the heart. How often have we all found it difficult to speak our truth and be honest about what we feel? For me, it was quite often and the practice of yoga gave me the confidence and strength to trust in myself and speak from my heart. This class is designed to increase our awareness of ourselves, build physical and emotional strength and learn to open our hearts to receive and transmit love and honesty.

To be a force for change requires we understand the changes we need to make to feel empowered. The yoga sequence will be a challenging and balanced vinyasa flow. ENERGY

We can learn to pace ourselves and manage our energy with a combination of greater awareness and understanding of how these shifting energetic qualities affect us along with practices to support our vitality.

Now that we have spent time to explore and connect, how do we bring that peace back to the world? How to we assist in creating the shift to a more empathetic and peaceful world? We will discuss the many modalities available to forge conversations and seek our personal center while the world changes and evolves.

Deborah, Founder and CEO of LiveaMoment, traveled 9000 mile by car to over 40 states during the last elections cycle and beyond, forging conversations and documenting how we feel as individuals, as a nation, and as a growing global whole.

UDDIHYANA BANDHA - UNLOCK YOUR UPWARD LOCK

The respiratory diaphragm is intimately related to every aspect of your physiology. The ancient yogis instinctively clued into this by developing energy extension (pranayama) practices that leaned heavily on the multiple functions of the diaphragm. Uddihyana Bandha (Upward Lock) is an internal action of the diaphragm that supercharges your body’s ability to harvest and harness your breath. But the diaphragm can become compromised from biomechanical, emotional and environmental stresses. This workshop helps you unlock any obstacle that might be locking you out of a pranic playground.

THE POWER OF MEDITATION - DEEP SILENCE IS THE REMEDY

Meditation is the journey inwards, a journey of self-discovery or, in fact, re-discovery. Meditation is time taken for quiet reflection and silence, away from the hustle and bustle of daily living. Taking time out enables us to come back to a centered place of being. Meditation does not require rituals or mantras and it is an imperative need for the call of our time.

In our modern world, the pace of life is growing ever faster and we are losing touch with our true inner peace and power. When we no longer feel grounded, we can experience ourselves pushed and pulled in many different directions. It is at this point that we start to experience stress and a feeling of being trapped. Gradually, over time, this feeling leads to illness and disease, as our mental, emotional and physical health is thrown out of balance. Becoming unstuck, inspired, clear, and creative, are some benefits of meditation, if done consistently and with sincerity.
